Thanks for that - I thought it was a bit quick for an LCI. Though I suppose they do have a fair bit of latitude with the Lines, particularly given all of the feedback there has been. E.g. expensive route to xenons in the USA and only one interior colour choice for the UK Modern line...

Sorry

Oh, there's plenty they can stand to adjust, like you said, the cost of HID's on a 328i is a bit silly, and interior colors are very limited nearly everywhere. I just didn't want you to think there would be a significant refresh.

Yes, I'm grateful for that - thanks again.

MY 2012 will continue until June 2012 at the 2 German Factories and July 2012 at the South African Factory.

Im told there is no let up at the South African factory in Rosslyn ( 2nd largest F30 Factory in the world), though they are not up to full design output yet.
No one has heard anything about German factories not producing as fast ass they currently can

They are producing around 1,000 USA F30 alone each week in Rosslyn.

I guess no one from BMW knows this forum exists or they'd help us...

Fleet, any truth to the conjecture that US/N. American bound 335i's are being built in the S. African plant?
Frankly I don't care either way, I was just wondering.
Also, it might affect when my car will get here as I think it takes longer from S. Africa?

If u've been to a plant visit u'll know that they don't need to completely stop production in order to re-tool the line for a new model. Also they can swap the presses in the press shop in under 60mins.
The introduction of the new 3er Touring won't interfere with current production of the F30 saloon as they're from the same family of products.

Both US 328i and 335i are being built in SA.
US production from SA has been greatly increased with the F30 and more than 1/3 of the worlds F30 will be made in SA. ( Only Munich produces more F30 per day. Regensburg makes less)

Correct.

They were even making test F30 on the same line as the last few months E90 here.

Do you have any idea whether the production in those two plants is destined for specific countries or not?
I'm from Belgium, am I right in thinking my car could come from either one of those plants?

Rumors floating around about a new/upgraded engine in the 335i.......who knows.
