M performance Rotors

i currently have the M Performance BBK and BMW replaced my front rotors. I now hear a ticking sound, the sound is louder when driving next to the wall on the highway. I have dimple rotors as anyone had this issue? the noise is only heard when i have my window down.

That's perfectly normal from everything I've read while researching dimpled rotors

I'm fairly certain it's air passing over the dimples. I have same kit (down to the color) and I hear it with the windows down with any sort of tallish structure (wall, fence, building) nearby. It gets louder the closer you are to it.

Turns out that the rear rotors were given me issues. BMW covered if under warranty.

they said it was the rear rotor vibrating, but after 4 days the noise is back.Everyone is saying it's the design of the rotors

I've got M Performance rotors and have the same sounds. I'd say it's more like a hissing sound.

Definitely going smooth rotors next time around.

The tick is somewhat common. They did not sand down the hub rust when they installed the rotors. Let me know if that solves your problem.

Yep I have the same thing. I won't be replacing with OEM when I am due, I don't like the ticking but more importantly for my OCD I don't like that they aren't side-specific so my slots point rear on drivers and front on passengers.

Update: turned out it was the ceramic brake pad the design of the pad was the cause of the noise.
