Has anyone ever got there n20/n26 to get sideways on pavement with no snow? I’m unwilling to try it but I’m curious to see if anyone has done it lol. Post some videos of you got them.

Not sure if this counts as sideways but I can definitely get the ass end to kick out if I juice it through a turn. Done that once or twice.

Depends on what tires your rolling on and the surface conditions, you REALLY have to be forceful to get it to go sideways, a little scandinavian flick works, but since our cars are so underpowered once the initial phase of rotation lessens the tires just grip again and the engine doesnt have enough umph to keep them spinning. And if you are on grippy asphalt forget it, needs to be old and dirty road to be able to do it.

In the rain its much easier.

This is for RWD, for Xdrive i imagine its practically impossible in the dry.

I'd actually disagree....with DTC completely off, it isnt too difficult to get sideways if you gas it during say a u-turn or the like

In 1st gear, you might get a little slide, anything after you really have to coax it into a slide which will be short lived due to low hp\tq.

I have xDrive, so my car has never been sideways when there's no snow on the ground. But with RWD and a skilled enough driver, you can get almost anything to slide. It'd be even easier with 3 pedals...

However, you'd probably have to be more forceful with your inputs because of the lower power numbers. Just do it in an empty parking lot, don't be the idiot that tries to slide his car anywhere where there's even a remote chance of hitting someone else or damaging anything that is not your own.

Done it several times I my xDrive, dry or wet, full tread OE tires, zero mods. Waaaayyy, easier in the wet, and of course needs to be in Sport+/traction-control off. Even with stability control still on, the system gives you a lot to play with before kicking in.

Can be done at totally reasonable speeds too - <50mph in the dry, <30mph in the wet. The car is heavily RWD biased, so it drifts quite well. Coming from pure RWD, it's pretty cool to feel the AWD work through a drift, but it's nothing like a Subie or EVO.

@Relax19 is right about the diff, it really hampers things, but these aren't exactly drift-missiles, so it's OK

Haven't had it sideways yet, I've only had it a month, but pushed it pretty hard on a cloverleaf and at about 85 kmh it started to step out. Wasn't wet and I was just seeing what it would take to make it squeal a bit.

Go to the track.... high speed turn with proper setup to oversteer than indersteer.. you need both.. then you can drift thru the long fast sweeper. Those where the days with my underpowered 240sx ... before the Silvia transformation.

Its highly dependant on the tires. When i had my 437's with the stock michelins that are useless when its chilly outside, i was sideways everywhere until they warmed up.

Like others have said, it depends heavily on what tires you're using. Stock 400m staggered setup with 235/45/18 fronts and 255/40/18 rears. With the stop RFT I was able to get sideways all the time, even on warmed up tires. I later switched to Pilot Super Sports, much much more difficult to get it to go sideways. Later switched to Pilot Sport 4s, the rear tires now have so much grip I can't even do a burn out cause my front brakes won't keep the car from moving forward, let alone making the car go sideways.
