This may be a dumb question but would I expect any low-end torque loss with this intake? I'm currently running muffler delete on my 430 and ended up getting the JB+ because it initially felt a bit more sluggish on the low-end after deleting my muffler. Just don't want to back-track any further.

Check dyno below, it shows TQ before and after intake. No loss of power at any point, in fact you will be gaining power with this intake

Man we europeans take a HEAVY price hit with this... It's 300 bucks with free shipping in the US and 389€ + shipping in the EU... That comes to about 420€ so just under 500 bucks. WTF?

Please do! Very excited to learn more about this product for my B46.

By chance do you also have a way to log intake air temps? Wondering how they look in real world use, because the dyno graph doesn't indicate whether testing was done with the hood up or down.

I don't, but it looks like Injen's dyno with the intake installed was running at almost 15 degrees hotter than the stock dyno run. Honestly I have no idea how much of a temperature difference there typically is running with the hood open vs. hood closed but perhaps that difference at least partially makes up for it?

Speaking completely hypothetically here.. but that was my way of rationalizing the purchase without having further details on the dyno conditions

I'd say that the ambient conditions were favorable for comparing the Injen intake vs OEM. They did a great job picking the right day for their install. It's also easier to justify and advertise higher power levels when the conditions were actually worse with the aftermarket intake, so kudos on Injen for doing it right.

That being said, whether or not the hood is raised has a HUGE impact on intake air temps with a pod filter. Conversely, it wouldn't have a major impact with the OEM intake. My take is that these dyno measurements would be drastically favored towards Injen's intake if they were done with the hood opened.

Still, looks like a nice intake. Still considering it for my car. Let us know what you think!

Will do! My order status still says Awaiting Shipment but it should hopefully be on its way to me soon. I did place the order a few days before Black Friday so I'm sure they're swamped. Honestly, I bought it looking for a full intake rather than the BMS attachment for the B48 really just to balance out the occasionally-rough sound of my muffler delete set-up, so any notable power gain at all will be a plus

I tend to pay little attention to company dynos on aftermarket intake and exhaust set-ups as we all know the gains tend to be rather minimal, if any. With the intake my only concern would be potential heat-soak, which hopefully the heat-shield will help avert.

How does it sound? Similar to the original F30 328 injen intake?

Just installed. Based on the clips I've seen of the 328i intake it sounds very similar. How do I post a video on here?

The clip doesn't do the sound much justice but it's pretty loud and audible inside the car while driving. Pedestrians turned heads every time I let off the gas so I'm sure it's even louder outside the car. Drove about 20 miles on the way home and my mileage range and MPG actually went up. Car feels like it pulls harder and even my exhaust is giving me more pops and burbles.

Definitely worth the money

Here's the clip. As I said, it doesn't do the sound much justice.

Anyone know of a comparison between this Injen Intake and the MST Performance Intake for B48/F33? Been considering an MST.

MST is closed box, this is open box.

This mechanically should and commercially is advertised as having higher performance gains.

If you drive in a very dusty environment, psychologically dislike open intake or want a quieter sounding intake, go with MST, otherwise go Injen in my opinion.

Power gains between closed and open are not significant but other than that I agree with Avaley on everything he said.
