I had the same problem with ghosting after debadging. I purchased a Chemical Guys polishing compound (4 grades)/polishing pad kit on Amazon and used that to clean up. See https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...postcount=5825 for the end results.

After wet sanding as you have done I would never use Turtle Wax rubbing compound first and foremost. Any local auto parts store should have some Meguiar's M205 (polish/final step) and M105 (heavy step 1). They are in the tan bottles. It's the Mirror Finish "Professional" line from Meguiar's. It's higher grade than their Ultimate line. After polishing the surface make sure and wipe the area with an IPA solution to remove all the polishing oils before you apply a protective layer to make sure that it will adhere to your car properly.
