Hello all, I'm in Calgary and wondering what's the best price for the MPPSK?

I was quoted 5170$ installed with chrome tips

I bought a last years model 340i xDrive and hardballed the dealer into including it in the price of the car (highly discounted).

But they told me it was around a $6k option to order it normally.

This summer $4800 plus tax is the best I could find with chrome tips in the Toronto area

I had dealers quote me a range from 2.5 hours to 10 hours for the install.
Ask your local dealers if they will install a kit that you supply. You can buy from the USA and come in around $4000 plus tax.

Not to sound like a downer but I don't think it is worth it at that price. As I have said on other threads it has been subdued a bit worldwide to reduce noise levels. I just mine got mine after reading the hype on the forums and honestly I am meh....its ok ....but..it's not a great value for the price. Others bought theirs when there was more of a difference in sound I think. And it adds no value to resale values trade in time so there is no return on investment. So if you get it great and if not don't feel like you missed out. Cheers

I think the main appeal is that it's a factory option warrantied by BMW, it definitely has no better value or performance over an aftermarket system to justify the massive expense other than the warranty retention.

That said, I do really like the sound of mine and the fact that it's a valved system as to not piss my neighborhood off at 5am heading to work

But if I didn't get a smoking deal on it, and had to pay out of pocket I would certainly hold out for aftermarket exhaust and a better tune.

mind if i ask what you paid for your 2018 340i? i'm in the process of buying one myself and thinking maybe i can convince my dealer to get me that too.

2 years ago I went with the M performance exhaust with carbon tips and had all in installed for 1500 at elite BMW in Ottawa

MPPSK is different from just the M performance exhaust.

MPPSK, includes the ECU tune.

Also it's a cat back system and I think the M performance exhaust is just an axle back unit

I bought my 2018 340i back in Jan and I had mine worked into the price and haggled them hard and got it installed pre pick up for $4500 with carbon fibre tips, taxes in. This was from bmw TORONTO.

Some dealers have offered it for 40% off during M Performance parts sale a couple times since it's release... you could wait until that happens again but it's very rare and you wouldn't know unless you go in the parts department often. Or you could get it during a 20% off M Performance parts sale which happens a bit more more often (maybe once or twice a year?).

Regarding install, my advice is make sure the dealer doesn't charge you for more than 3 hours of work because that's how long the installation instructions say it'll take. I've heard dealers wanting to charge anywhere from 5 to 7 hours which was ridiculous...

40% off and still making a profit, makes you wonder what kind of margin they are making...

I bought a 440i in July. I had them install with MPPSK and carbon tips pre-pickup. $4400cdn all in. BMW Newmarket (GTA).

They originally quoted me $4500 plus $550 for carbon tips plus 6 hours labour @ $185 to install.

Anyone have any ideas when these sales are on? I'm itching to get the MPPSK but I like me a good deal lol

Exhaust only, missing mid-pipe and tips. Horrible picture so can’t tell if flaps are still installed.

My final price for the MPPSK and two chrome tips were 3366 plus tax, 6.5 hours of labour for 1043 plus tax. Looks like you got 15% off parts plus free installation, that's a steal.
