Tell us what all you applied. Does look nice and shiny but the main issue with self detailing is lack of longevity of the products.

Yes, although there's some very good stuff available to Joe Public nowadays I get the impression some of the longer lasting products can only be applied by professional detailers who've been approved by the relevant manufacturer?

Totally agree with that, I know this coating want lady anywhere near as long as the pro detailing on my old car.

Thankfully I have more time and a big enough drive to do it myself with cancoat or similar.

Ok is I imagine it's not as good as a proper coating by a detailer but still it's a big saving even if you did it twice a year.

There are many such products on the market now - and with any form of detailing, preparation is the key - clean, decontaminated, polished (if needed) and surface cleansed.

I do my own stuff - Gyeon Syncro this time (needs to be cured inside though). They do make the car easier to clean and consequently less swirl marks.

Give it a go

Great work mate That looks really nice.

I've done my last few new cars myself and I always found it satisfying.

Always

Nice when you do it yourself. Wife wants her new (to her) Gran Coupe looking like mine but she's impatient and wants it done in 10 minutes flat, plus her's is silver and mine is black, trust me they will never look the same

But must admit Gyeon is the way I am going for her. I still have some CarPro UK 3.0 left for mine which will be done when its warmer.
