17'' Wheel fitment confusion
Hey guys,
I own a 2015 428i Xdrive Coupe. this isn't the M sport with 18' wheels. I got those sleezy 17x7.5 et37 wheels. frankly I hate them, even though it comes as a base model. For tires, its 225/50/17 squared. in the near future I will definitely move for a 235... Here's the confusion... I am interested in Kosei K1 wheels, lightweight for track use... they are 17x8.5 et40. I don't think its a bad thing to use my current tires on a 8.5 wheel, right?? maybe some stretch but hardly noticeable..... I also plan on adding H & R sport Lowering springs part # 28832-1. When I get lowered, what size spacers can I use for a flush look along the fender lines??? I'm at least aiming for an aggressive look... can someone possibly clear my confusion?? |

225 tires on 8.5J shouldn't be a problem
(I user this site for a quick reference Rim-Size-Chart) And to get a idea how the wheels would fit I use this site: WillTheyFit.com/ No clue about the extra width needed to get the rims flush to the fenders, but I'm sure someone can tell you. Do the K1's only come in ET40? If I had the choice I would rather have lower ET rims than rims with spacers. (My personal choice, no specific science behind it other than less components to fail/malfunction)

If you’re going to get dedicated track wheels why not just get dedicated track tires or upgrade to 18s
