Bull. What's unsafe is if you run them long enough with low enough pressure that there's sidewall damage, which will result in eventual failure even after the puncture is fixed. That's why you want to carry repair materials on board, so you don't have to drive on them for a long distance before making the repair.

I'm going to play it safe, and go with the 245
Good idea, not for just fit reasons. The wider you go the more road friction there is, which increases road noise, lowers fuel economy and gives reduced tread life.

I got everything installed a few weeks back. Continental DWS 06 in 245/40 on 19x8.5 351M rims in a dark grey powder coat.

Coming from the stock 225/50 runflats on 18" rims, it's amazing how much the ride quality is improved. Especially considering I lost 1/2 inch of sidewall. I'm running 35psi in front and 38 in rear, the door panel recommends 32/35 on an 18" rim, but had nothing for a 19".

Looking and feeling around the front tires while turning, I feel like there is probably room to go to a 255/40 tire. Hopefully somebody else is willing to be the guinea pig and spend $200 on a tire and mounting to see how the fit is!

Im thinking about running Spacers 12mm front and 15mm rear.

Still think needs more.

What do you think?

I assume your considering spacers purely on aesthetics. I don't have any rubbing on my setup, so I assume you don't either. In that case, it's a matter of personal preference. If you like the look, go for it. For me, I'm happy with the current setup.
