FMIC choice: ER vs CSF

Hi guys, been looking at various intercooler options and noticed a people went with Wagner, VRSF and ER. With the CSF one being the newest but there are not much reviews on them. My questions is will the CSF fit a n20 320i? I know on various vendors website we could see 328 is listed but there are not much discussion on this particular intercooler here in the 4 bangers section. Also anyone who is knowledgeable or able to chime in with their two cents on why they would go with one or another? Thanks in advance!

There is a review on the CSF at spool street. Guess this site blocks links to other sites for whatever reason....

But when I was checking it actually outflowed the Wagner Evo 2 and ATM. Also it is used on BimmerWorld in the race series, so I think it is better option for cheaper.

I don't believe it has better flow than the Evo 2 Comp. I own both the CSF and Evo 2 comp and the comp has noticeably less lag. With the CSF I got nothing, then a big surge once the boost kicked in. The power delivery with the Evo 2 Comp is more linear from a stop. Looking at my fuel economy meter it would drop lower with the CSF than the Wagner during the lag period till the turbo spooled up. The N47 only has a single scroll turbo, so the lag is more noticeable.

That said, the CSF is a performer, and does a very good job of keeping temps down on the street and track. It's also a very clear derivative of/heavily based on the design of the ATM, which came out more than 6mo before. If you put the two side by side and cover the logos, they look identical. The CSF has a slightly different internal fin arrangement that you have to look very closely to see, and could possibly be made of a different alloy.

Hopefully I'll have time this summer to do some good testing on the ATM, CSF, and Wagner (I purchased all three).
