crashy suspension
it's probably been covered on many occasions but I need some input. I want to get my f31 335d adaptive suspension more comfortable like my old e91 330d . I know the ACS springs have been covered loads but don't think springs alone will do it . any experience from forum members would be helpful... it's either that or I keep looking at cayenne s 4.2d with air suspension but don't really want an SUV .
thanks in advance |

How many miles on your original dampers? Could it be due for replacement?
If not, I'd go Eibach Pro-Kit springs with M80 bumpstops first. If available in the UK, add Dinan Shockware to enhance OEM damper performance. Based on how Dinan Shockware functions, I speculate It may rejuvenate original damper performance and extend its lifespan some. Doing the above will make the slightly firmer but still compliant and eliminate the crashy ride you currently have. It will also lower it slightly. |

Are you flexible on alternatives including non adaptive shocks + springs or coilovers? |

IMO the OEM springs are bouncy, so i'd still switch to Eibach or ACS springs. Eibach manufactures ACS springs to their specs however most forum members with Eibach are using their Pro-Kit. Pro-Kit is designed for OEM or Koni SA, or just slightly shorter dampers such as Koni Yellow Sport. if you don't mind losing adaptive, I'd go with KW Street Comfort coilovers or a "cup kit" such as Eibach Pro-Kit or ACS springs over Koni SA or Yellow Sport dampers. You will have to code out EDC, though. |

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...1651706&page=2 re: koni, yellow sport has an adjustment knob for rebound and I believe they are slightly firmer than SA. SA has a slightly different internal design, developed with Mclaren. If you're not going too low, SA may be better for street with ocnl sporty drive. Do Yellow sport, for tunable rebound, more sporty with ocnl track and lower than just a mild drop. based on what i've read about both, i think you'll be satisfied with ride comfort of either choice. you can read through this Eibach thread as well...https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...eibach+pro+kit .
