Interesting... I'm very new to f30's (just got a 2016 340i xdrive). While I was swapping on the winter set of wheels, I noticed that the front wheels were turning even when the manual transmission was in 1st gear, indicating that the transfer case is disconnected when the car is stopped or parked.

I found a printout I made in 2016 of the BMW accessories web site listing for the LSD and it gives the same part number (33108659989) for the unit that they show now. I worked in parts for 13 years for a Volvo Dealer and I will tell you Volvo changed part numbers at the drop of a hat. Even the slightest modification resulted in a new part number, changing suppliers was enough to warrant a part number change and I can't believe BMW is any different. For them to modify the LSD enough for it to now work in my 340 would certainly have resulted in a part number change, otherwise how would they know old stock from new? Bottom line, I say BMW has the web page screwed up just like they did in 2016 and I'll bet this LSD unit will not work. I know I'm not going to have my Dealer take my rear end apart ... again .. to find out for sure.

Early reports from E90 owners indicate slightly improved steering feel, reduced understeer, and of course no more torque steer.
Have you ever experienced torque steer in an xdrive 3/4 series? I've never experienced anything resembling torque steer in my 335 and 435i xdrive cars. I figured that with a rwd biased drive train, it wasn't an issue.

I'm just echoing what E90 xDelete users have said. Theoretically there should be some degree of torque steer anytime the transfer clutch is engaged, even if it's RWD-biased. It's subtle enough on my car that I don't notice it though.

In my experience, torque steer on a powerful fwd car (250 hp and above) can be very noticeable. If it does occur on xdrive cars, it must be so subtle as to be not worth worrying about.

It might be that any small amount of torque steer in the f3* xdrive cars is hidden by the electric power steering column....

I didnt notice much torque steer with my car. when I went stage 1 BM3 on very hard launches especially on uneven pavement or over bumps you feel alittle bit of torque steer but nothing that's not easily controlled or wild

The last official response from them was it will be ready for F series cars for the spring season so hopefully that means it will be released soon!

According to their Facebook page they're now working on an adjustable version of xDrive that's optimized for certain driving surfaces. That's in addition to the ability to switch between xDrive/RWD. Still no release for F-series, though.

I just saw about this! looks like it would be an awesome feature and will make the AWD system customizable similar to their transmission software. the only downside is I feel they are ironing out and adding features to the E series version before they release the F series version. but the post says coming in the next few weeks so maybe we will be getting it in a month or 2! As much as it sucks to wait it just means we will get a more refined feature packed product!

You will be beta-testing at own risk no matter how long you wait for the beta to come out.

Any insider heads-up on Xdelete for F30's? All the normal channels have gone silent.

No insider knowledge unfortunately. However they recently posted looking for customers to beta test their new custom modes (Sport, Snow,On,Off) for the currently supported cars but still no word on support for F series cars. I'm starting to get the feeling they arent going to have it released by the end of spring as promised.

MPerformance LSD is available OEM from BMW for F30, 31, 32, 33 & 36 including xdrive AWD models & has been for some time...

In fact, they just recently had a 'fire sale' on the auto tranny version of these in U.S. - went for $450

Got one & already had it installed in my 2015 435iX
PnP no coding necessary = worx WITH the BMW AWD system @ 30% threshold under where AWD starts

33107555607
BMW M Performance limited-slip diff
TYP 188, I=3.15
M Performance Accessories

Part 33107555607 was found on the following vehicles:
3' F30   (04/2011 — 07/2015)
3' F31   (08/2011 — 06/2015)
4' F32   (11/2012 — 02/2017)
4' F33   (03/2013 — 02/2017)
4' F36 Gran Coupé   (07/2013 — 06/2016)

Has been tested by (2) forum members and the auto version diff definitely does NOT fit manual cars - the axles would need to be modified

I luv the way the car acts now Having driven RWD BMW's before - the best way to explain it is the car now drives like a RWD but with added grip of AWD. Most noticeable coming out of turns during 'spirited' driving
