Large Gear Indicator for Auto

Does anyone know if there is a way to code a larger gear indicator for the 8 speed auto box?
I can to my 340i from a Jag XF where the gear indicator was a large front and centre display on the dash. Would be good if it was possible to get something similar on the 340.

Cheers
Chris

Unfortunately it is an expensive upgrade... And I would do it if I could get a water temp gauge.

That's the one. But unfortunately I don't have a digital cockpit. 😂

you can have gear display with xhp trans tune but its not big and centered, it shows up right next to the D like when your shifter is in S(to the left)

Thanks for the information guys. I have managed to code out the gear shift indicator so I am not being shown the suggested gear just that the current gear which is a big help.

I guess I am going to have to practice counting gear shifts.

It is yea but I feel it is a little bit on the small side. I would have preferred a larger display to make it easier to glance at to check which gear was selected.
On my Jag XF it was a large front and centre display which changed colour when getting close to the red line. This was easy to spot even when focused on the road.

Not on a stock car. Only with a transmission tune like xHP.

I never did that when I drove an MT, all I looked at was the tach. I can't imagine why you'd want to do that with an automatic.

With a MT it is intuitive as to what gear you are in as you get used to the gear stick position. Completely different with the AT as you only have the numbers on the dash to go off. In my XF when in manual and dynamic mode the gear indicator was front and centre and even changed colour at the red line. It was easier than the BM to glance at to check gears.

If I was to use the manual mode I'd still be watching the tach, shifting up and down based on that.
