Well after spending the last four weeks doing New cam belt and tensioner new front cam and crank seals, water pump, fuel pump and filter, oil and filter change, coolant flush, rocker cover and oil sump gaskets, oil pressure sensor, thermostat, ECU temp sensor and dash temp sensor and a two stage DA machine cut and polish for good measure on my E30 I finally found half an hour to fit the spacers on the F30!

I decided on 10mm front and 15mm rear and they are exactly what I wanted in terms of look, I think Im going to raise the rears a little though just for when the cars fully loaded :-)

Some before and afters with the spacers fitted.

Third splitter in two years, I either need to stop parking front on up to kerbs or raise the Eibachs a bit

IWIS N47 chain kit, oil, coolant, rocker gasket, injector seals and whilst the engine was out I also had a new LUK dual mass flywheel and clutch installed along with a new starter. Total cost for all work £2980.

I need to say a massive thanks to ADC, absolutely amazing work.

Anyone who thinks the N47 snapping chain thing is exaggerated should see the yard full of F30's they have queued up down there waiting to get on the lift.

Damn. That’s a shitty one. Mine’s on 93k miles, 13 plate and it has me worried now.

I checked ADC’s Instagram and they do 12-15 chain repairs a week. That’s mad!

Glad you got it sorted and I’ll be saving ADC’s number in my contacts for when the inevitable happens.

Did you have extended warranty on this car?

No warranty mate, most of them won't cover chains anyway as its classed as a service item (ADC have the service bulletin where BMW say 90k or 9 years which ever comes first).

I can't believe how many F30's they had piled up in the yard waiting to get on the ramps for snapped chains, its genuinely scandalous BMW don't accept this is a widespread issue. If it wasn't such a nice clean car and for the fact its never missed a beat until this I'd have probably scrapped and broken it for parts.
