How is that possible in a car the size of a yacht

A fair question but if you take a look inside a 6-series coupe I think you'll find BMW have created the opposite of the Tardis!

I've just googled... you're absolutely right, and that is completely bonkers!!!

it's a 440i or 340i for me. has to be.

UNLESS a bonkers 335d comes in on offer for either.

Oh it's definitely on the radar. This thread has been invaluable, but i've probably widened my search rather than narrowed it!

I'm sure you know, but the good thing with the GC (or any 4) is the extra standard spec vs. the F30. So if searching second-hand or pre-reg you don't have to worry about certain things such as pronav and heated electric memory seats.

This is absolutely correct. Worst space for a 5m plus car ever.

4 series has more room.

A good city car, with good access and discounts would be an X2. It's very short but has excellent space. A coupe it ain't though so I'm gonna her flamed! It does come in petrol variants.

Quick question... Can you retrofit flappy paddles? I've seen a 4 series with an auto box but no paddles which seems odd, but I wondered if there is any way of doing that? I assume difficult but thought I'd ask.

I saw this car
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...?atmobcid=soc3

While it is a low spec non msport plus, it could do a job for me for a period of time before I look at an m240/340i/m4 as a long termer.

It has an m sport wheel so I think it's just paddles that need sorting. I've seen some threads but can't make head nor tale and really want shifters with the auto box. Whilst the sport plus package would be nice it's less of a deal breaker in a car I don't expect to keep for an eternity.

Thoughts?

As a bump, I rang up and it's a one owner car with an easy life. I realise it isn't packing the m sport plus pack but technically could you fit the paddles, darken the windows and add m sport calipers? Lack of HK a shame.

Just after opinions, I can't work out if 17k is a decent entry point with low risk for a year or two.
