I'll be rolling the dice on them fitting since I am Xdrive. Since a few other brands do mount in the front without much of an issue, and the shock body is adjustable I shouldn't expect any problems.
You can call Fortune Auto about xDrive. I did that last year when I was looking for coilovers. They don't make them for xDrive, but where willing to make them if I could get measurements for the front shocks. Unfortunately I didn't get around to getting measurements at the time and didn't want to wait for anyone to develop shocks. So I went with KW v3.
But if you can wait, then you could get shocks of the appropriate length for xDrive. That way you can set the ride height where you want and you'll be within the most efficient range of the shock, so it will perform better. Also you'll have more suspension travel. This is especially import if you live in an area with any amount of bad roads.
Yes I remember you posting about that. Do you recall what measurements they were looking for? I don't believe I'll lose any suspension travel as they use an adjustable body like on the BCs. That'd be correct if it was a regular threaded body like the KWs
I believe all the measurements of fitment and shock and shaft lengths. And don't forget the xDrive has the axle right under the shock body and have a shorter shock to clear them. That limits how far down the shock can go on a coilovers that adjusts from the shock body. I had BC rwd coilovers on my 335xi e90. Not sure how that relates to f30. But it did limit how low I could go and maintain good suspension travel. I eventually replaced the shocks (which were threaded from BC) with the awd shorter shocks and got a little more travel. The car absorbed bumps a little better after.
I guess I could buy a used shock and just send them the measurements. Or find someone on this forum selling them to measure for us.

However I think I could get away with tightening the lower mount in the hub a few mm above where it would normally rest in the lower hub mount. And then spin the cartridge down the same amount. Wouldn't lose any piston travel

I reached out to Fortune Auto recently and they said if they can make 10 sets it is worth it for them. I am not too far from their facility so I would be willing to go down for measurements. There don't appear to be too many great options for the F36 xDrive in the <$1500 range. I was thinking ST with Ground Control camber plates or BC with Swift springs but these look to be a pretty good option.

I have F31 Xdrive shocks on my F32 RWD. They fit fine.

It's dissappointing they didn't add the alginment pins to the camber plates. They look like they just pieced together a kit that fits, rather than designing one that works properly.

Personally I'd pick 5k front and 16k rear, or 4k front and either 14 or 13k rear.
Fortune doesn't recommend going below 8k in the front. I'm upping the rear a bit and going 9k 13k.

Did they actually explain why? Is it because their damper adjustment range doesn't support that?

I have been on the road, apologies for going dark. I just emailed them to check in and this was their response:

"We would need a car here for development so that we can R&D everything. Essentially gauging interest insures us that it would be worthwhile to attempt to develop suspension for the AWD platform. Once you gather 10 or so individuals then the next steps would be locating any individuals that would be will to drop off their vehicle for a few weeks for testing, then there would be a developing stage, then we would need the car back for final fitment testing, then we would develop the sets for the 10 or so people that already prepaid for the sets in the group buy essentially.

I am not currently in a position to be without my car for a couple of weeks but I am thinking next spring I probably will be as we need a beater pickup truck as a 3rd car. I also just dropped some money on 728M reps and PSS (doing something different, hopefully they look good) so the funds need to rebuild before I can buy coilovers.

This is interesting.... it's nice to have adjustable from stock ride height and lower.... than other brands that has a minimum ride height that is already 1.5" lowered than stock. This might be the suspension for me 🤔

On the side Note.... Green... really Green.... just my old days when I have Tein suspension

If they need a F32 xDrive car... I'm literally right around the corner from them.

Well that's good to hear. Would be able to use the resulting shocks to fit to F30, F32, F36 vehicles fine.

They say highest ride height is 1" lower than stock.
