I find the auto wipers hit and miss on mine. Sometimes they seem to work how you'd expect them to work and I can just leave them to do their thing, and then another time they will start going too fast in light rain or I'll have to step in and manually use them because they aren't wiping the screen often enough and visibility is getting bad.

I've had pre and post LCI versions and both features worked fine for me.
The windscreen was machine polished on both when new and treated with DoDo Supernatural Glass Sealant. Then topped up every 3-6 months or topped off with DoDo Future Armour if I was feeling lazy. Set to lowest setting or maybe one up the wipers work fine. Adaptive lights, Xenon then LED, have also both been great. LED's are quicker to respond. Cleaning the screen and camera with DoDo Clearly Menthol helps when the screen gets a headlight haze from interior dirt.

Yeah the auto wipers are a wind up. They never get the speed right. Always having to manually adjust the speed instead. On fast wipe mine bangs against windscreen rubber which is annoying.

I've got the same wiper issue, auto on minimum setting is just about OK but then if it rains a touch harder the wipers go to max for no reason.
Next time I'm in Bimmercode I'm going to set sensitivity to low from normal and see if that helps. My 12 year old Volvo was MUCH better at this
