Point taken. Re-coded to 70% on drl (matches default I think) and 50% with lights on. Don't want premature led burn 😅

Changing % brightness does not exceed the working limits of the LED's. There are other settings which can exceed safe voltages but as long as you haven't adjusted them there should be no burnout, even at 100% brightness.

Are the default settings for the angel eyes different for pre and post-LCI? LCIs have a horizonal bar, and pre-LCI AE's are rounder?

I don't think the default settings are different but it is a completely different setup under the bonnet. Pre-lci ( & without LED headlights) was all done in the FEM. LCI's have two FLE modules, one for each headlight, that control all the LED lighting.

I thought when DRLs are on WITHOUT the headlights... they are at 100%.... for US cars.

I keep reading mixed opinions.

^ in the U.K., DRL are on at full brightness in daylight when the headlights are off and are meant to dim in brightness when the sidelights (position lights) or dipped headlights are on (to reduce glare to other vehicles).
The US regulations might be different.

Holy thread resurrection!

I looked to do this but according to the cheat sheet you change:

MAPPING_STANDL_V_L_PWM_LEVEL_1

I couldn’t find that, only LEVEL_3 and LEVEL_4....?

Is your car LCI or Pre-LCI?

Changing the DRL brightness on LED LCI models is done a different way.

MAPPING_TAGFAHRL_V_R_PWM_LEVEL_1 Werte= change to 64

Angle eyes at 100% aren't bright enough for people to flash you. They're fine keep them at 100% don't hesitate.

And while you're in there playing with DRLs set your rear lights to on as well. That way you can never be one of those dicks driving around in shite weather with no tail lights on.....

What I am saying is, they are dim with the headlights on, I change them to 100% and nothing changes.......

I have the Depo headlights, I am just wondering if that is why I can't change anything with the settings......
