Tallest 18in tire?
I searched, but most inquiries and answers are about width. I'm looking into a winter setup for the Sportline stock 18s. Saw a deal on some Blizzaks 235/55/18.
Would that even work? Or is it like getting a 2.2 inch drop? (diameter approx 28in) Thanks in advance

That wouldn't be a "drop", which depends only upon shocks/springs and not wheels/tires. |

225/45-18 OEM size
225/50-18 4% taller than OEM (will fit without rubbing) 235/50-18 5% taller than OEM (will maybe fit without rubbing) 235/55-18 9% taller than OEM (will NOT fit without rubbing) |

Front: 235/45/18 ~26.3" diameter Rear: 245/45/18 ~26.6" diameter I'm not sure if the 245/45/18 would clear the front without rubbing. |

By “rubbing” what will it rub in the front and when?
Is it constantly rubbing on something or only when turning? Tight turns or any? Dealer comments, I supplied 235/55/18 and they are being put on. “Backs are fine, fronts will rub struts when turning.” I have no options at the moment so trying to determine how bad until I can change them. Also, will spacers help and fix or create more issues. |

Tires too tall. Will hit spring front spring perch and rip your fenderwell liner while turning. Surprised dealership installed them. Not sure how you concluded this would fit. Spacers is not a solution. Getting the proper size is... . |

Thanks for the reply, I mistakenly said 235 when they both were 225.
Anyway, yes they rub the front wheel well when turning and miss the strut but only by a fraction. Bumps would destroy them for sure. Just didn’t think about it and had these from another car, brand new, no savings. Gging to put the right ones on. You are correct, thank you… |
