If it cranks fine from cold the starter seems OK. TBH given the age and mileage I would just disable start-stop. You don't need it.

I agree - it was disabled on my old F30 for around 40k and never caused issues.

Just a thought, as my MPG is higher than normal and it only seems to be difficult to start when the car is warm could it be a leaking injector?
