Lowering my F33 440i xdrive

Hey all!

I have an F33 440i xdrive convertible and am not sure which parts to get for lowering. My goal is mainly aesthetic; I want to maintain oem ride quality/comfort as much as possible. I will never be hitting the track.

So I'm thinking Eibach springs plus some bump stops, maybe the oem F80 ones. But the problem is that neither the 440i xdrive nor the F33 has a recommended spring model from Eibach apparently.

So my question is, will the springs recommended for the 430i xdrive coupe (eibach-e10-20-031-04-22-pro-kit) fit my car?
And similarly, will the F80 bump stops fit as well?

Any insight or advice is appreciated!

take my suggestion with a grain of salt. i would use one of these Eibach Pro Kits. fronts are the same axle load, thus same front spring. rear axle load of the F31awd is 10kg higher than the F33rwd. i would speculate that your rear spring should be for a 1295 axle load. between the choices, the F31awd rear should sit higher than the F33rwd rear. F80 bumpstops fit regardless of spring.

for 440i RWD convertible. rear axle 1290kg

or F31(wagon) 340i x-drive. rear axle 1300kg

personally, i'd probably just go with the F33rwd springs

I just found the guide for the car in terms of axle load limit (https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/canad...95052EN/443523).

It lists the front and rear axle load limits as 1075kg and 1255kg respectively.

Does your recommendation still stand?

load limits versus axle load...idk, they are far different and the numbers don't make sense compared to Eibachs. I believe the axle load Eibach lists is the weight over each axle. i just calculated and it cannot be the weight over axle. i'm not sure what exactly it is but i use it in comparing.

personally, i'd still go with F33rwd springs but YOU should definitely research this matter more until you are certain with YOUR choice. i suggest emailing Eibach and see what answers they may offer as well. maybe they'll have different rears you can get ala carte.
