Did you find anything yet? Lots of clapped out Bimmers by us in NYC/NJ. Looking for pretty much the same spec but RWD where possible. I am willing to travel for the right one. Must be auto since my wife will be driving it too.

Wow, thank you! I appreciate the heads up. I've been bouncing between the E91 & F31 and the F-series brochure is not as comprehensive as the E9x one regarding packages. Would you happen to know if the sports package includes the suspension upgrade (unlike E91)? ChatGPT told me it does but it has also steered me in the wrong direction before...

Check this order guide out (specifically page 4): https://www.bimmerpost.com/goodiesfo...eringGuide.pdf

It looks like 2VF Adaptive M Suspension (with electronically controlled driving profiles) was the only suspension upgrade--unlike the E9X platform having the static sport suspension option. The Notes section states 2VF could be equipped as an option if the car has M Sport Package, but was included with the Track Handling Package.

This order guide is specifically for 2019 MY. 2017 and 2018 could be different

This is great! I'll read through this and will look for 17 and 18 variations to compare. Thank you very much

No, until the G20 xDrive precludes the sport suspension on all 3ers/4ers, including the E91 and F31. Even with the 2VF, the adaptive suspension is not the sport suspension. It does not have the firmer springs and it is still raised 10mm from the standard suspension rather than lowered 10mm like the 704 sport suspension. You will be able to find the 2017 ordering guide, but somehow the 2018 F3x ordering guide seems to have been lost from the internet. I have looked for it high and low!! The pricing guide is available, but the ordering guides give some details the pricing guides do not.

After checking the 17 and 19 order guides, thats what I gathered. It was interesting to find that some M-sport F31's were not ordered with 2VF, like the one linked earlier in the thread. I guess 2VF is better than nothing, aka no hardware upgrade. btw I spent the majority of my morning between my meetings looking around for the 2018 ordering guide, I came across a dead link and a post from YOU from years ago haha. My assumption is that after there was the alleged leak of sales/number information, presumably the 2018 guide, and it was pulled then scrubbed by BMW's legal team. Somebody in the community HAS to have an original copy somewhere. Have you reached out to BMW corporate? Perhaps they have a redacted copy if my theory holds weight. I'll still keep looking because there's no way that guide vanished... there's gotta be a footprint somewhere.

Jon Shafer at BMW of Santa Maria might have a copy. Jon is the GOAT of BMW CAs and he is the founder of Bimmerfest, which used to be the premier BMW forum until an unfortunate change of ownership several years after Jon sold it virtually killed it and now Bimmerpost is the premier forum. Back in the day Bimmerpost is where all the modders hung out.
