Because he want to connect new one 😅
I wrote to Alpine (Producer). Maybe there is a solution to f.e. connect some pins on mainboard to revert changes. Today I opened one - nothing broken inside. I’ll be waiting for the response from Alpine… The good one is I can still connect to CarPlay on my original Unit while driving (better than nothing). On new one I cannot activate CarPlay… In January I’ll try to connect NBT EVO - it’s probably the best solution. But if the connecting to new phone broken something… I read about problems when the phone has the same name like the old one. Also about some “” in phone names that could be problem with pairing. Strange is that after IPhone 16 release people have problem with connecting. |

I just replaced the headunit and the issue still persists. I have a feeling it might be a battery issue. My battery is 7 years old and hasn't been changed since factory. So I'm gonna exchange that regardless. I'll keep you updated.
The current P/N for my original HU: 8798036 Replacement P/N: 8705960 |

I think I've saw something like "801c20 central fault memory full " on FEM or somewhere else, but not sure it is related, what about you ?
I also have E1C448 MOST: Current configuration incomplete |

And do You know which fuse number to change? I’m pretty sure that I’ve checked all the fuses in rear fuse box (eyes only).
Edit: It looks that 121 could be a problem - it has 20A. I’ll change it later. Quote:

Maybe later I’ll check resistance of this fuse. EDIT: I checked it, the fuse is good. I’ve replaced it with another 20A, but I'm thinking that is not the problem... Last edited by mestarh; 12-21-2024 at 02:16 AM.. |

After few weeks of searching, changing HU -
I found a solution -> just change it to NBT Evo. Now everything works, and car don’t need to go to sleep when we’re removing phone etc. In new HU I just remove old devices, unpin QuadLock, connect - no problem with returning phones. EntryNav2 was problem. Still waiting for info from Alpine - maybe there is some solution to clear internal memory. |

Thanks for your feedback. Replacing the headunit is for me the last solution. And EVO is not cheap.
Entrynav2 has also a lot of 6,5 screens in general (F20 series) so if replace with EVO need also to replace screen to 8.8 |

I think I might have spotted the issue. Pin 15 on my quadlock is bent and it makes sense because I had to force it out since it was hard to take out to install the emtronika camera. Pin 15 is 12v power so im guessing that it's not cutting power out correctly. I have never taken off the quadlock. Can anyone please guide me on how to take of the plastic quadlock so I can replace it?

ATM just repin from current ENTRYNAV2 -> white to PIN 2, green to PIN 4, and black/shield to PIN 8 - Connected Services still works (need to reset settings after proper coding) Ethernet: NBT Quadlock -> OABR 31 -> 17 32 -> 19 37 -> 18 38 -> 20 Parts OABR (61139299610) Pins - Nano MQS - probably in most electronic shops. |
