245/35/19 front & 275/35/19 rear on Bilstein B14’s coilovers, rwd. About a finger and a half gap, no signs of rubbing. Planning to eventually do 265/35/19 in the rear so I that I have the option to lower it more if I wanted to. Thanks to all with the helpful info on this thread!

Can we revive this, there must be loads of people who’ve since added 437m and this thread helped me loads in my decision to buy.

I’m on genuine 437m

Got a used set yesterday, OEM wheels on chunky 4x 255/35/19 winter tires (where on a M4 as a winter set previously) and fitted them today on a 430i xDrive with Adaptive M suspension. As soon as we did the front left and tried to to move the car slightly there was horrible metal to metal rubbing and to my horror I feel behind the wheel and realize there is no clearance between rim and strut. Removed the wheel and indeed both strut and inside rim lip showed scratching marks (not too deep thankfully). WTH did I do wrong and how could one even achieve that on a stock car? My only suspicion is that the combo of xDrive + adaptive suspension suffers from less rim-to-strut clearance? as in: thicker struts compared to passive suspension?! Is this a know combo to cause fitment issues that I just missed? Furthermore the original wheels have been sold already to partly finance the "new" 437s...I added some 12mm spacers that were laying around just to be mobile again but the poke is ridiculous, how should I address the issue long-term? KW coilovers? 3-5mm spacers? But most importantly I want to find out if I am the only one with a F32 xDrive&Adaptive that has ever had stut clashing with 437Ms
you are the only one....

at the moment, the only thing i can think of that could be causing the problem is using 19x10 ET40 rears up front, or they are replicas of too high an offset.

Correct!

I realized this while writing my post... the wheels are OEM but they are also obviously staggered but the fact they came with square size tires confused us when putting them on and we never checked the inside of them but only the amount of tread left.

I just took them off and realized we had fitted rears to the front and vice versa, with spacers nonetheless, such a stupid mistake...

We put every wheel where it should be and no strut clashing any more, no spacers needed either.
That been said, the fronts seems to rub on the inside of the arches ever so slightly when on full lock, I guess the 255 doesn't help but it's anyway temporary and will be switching to 235 as most people seem to run.

Any pictures?

I am considering going 245/40 + 275/35 on my next tire purchase. Any rubbing?

No rubbing doesn’t bottom out kw v1’s ftw

When I moved from 245 35-245 40 I did have to raise the front and slightly roll the front fenders

What is the difference between running 235/35 + 265/30 and 235/40 + 265/35?

I am purchasing a set of 437m's for my xdrive f32 lowered on eibach springs. Which is best for the xdrive and will give the least chance of running?

Thanks!

@alohasurftoad guided me on another thread and I chose the 788M instead of the 437M with tire size

I have a RWD F36 - Gran Coupe. There's a set of genuine 437m's I' m wanting to pull the trigger on, but I notice the rears are 19X10. Will that be too wide?

I had them on my F30 335 a few years back. I think in.this thread too. Tires were the key to avoid rubbing
