20" Wheel / Tire OEM Fitment Question

So I'm going to get some 20's they are:

20x9 et 35
20x10.5 et 45

What tires would be the absolute closest to OEM? My guess is:

235/30 in the front
275/30 in the rear

or should I go 285/30 in the rear?

Thanks

235/35-20 and 275/30-20 has almost identical diameters, both about 1% taller than OEM size.

235/35 and 275/30 will look a bit stretched on 9" and 10.5" wide wheels though.

So any recommendations then on tire size for that wheel?

245 will fit without issues up front.

But I dont think you should go wider than 275 on the rear wheels to avoid rubbing.

You might consider 245/30-20 and 285/25-20, 1% shorter than OEM size.

But you need to confirm that rear fitment since it's a very aggressive setup.

The 235/35 and 275/30 combo is probably your best option after all.

I run 245/35 with 275/30 without issues. You can run 285/25 or 295/25, but will depend on how low you want to go and the tire is getting pretty thin for my tastes and wheel protection.

I think once the fronts need replacing I will look at possibly a 245/30. Get a little lower profile since I like to tuck a little more up front. Picture included so you can see the profile.

Maybe consider 245/35 and 285/30, especially if your car is equipped with xDrive.

Well, all OEM BMW wheels has a 3-digit identification number called the "Style".

Your wheels are style 356.

The 11-digit numbers you provide are BMWs part numbers, which is good to know when you order the wheels from a dealer.

We dont ever use the style # at the dealer, so im not use to using it. So use to useing the last 3 of the part number.

Hi,
My car came with 225 35 20 front and 255 30 20 rear.
I want to change them with all season and get 225 35 20 front and 275 35 20 rear Continental DWS.
Would that still be ok (rear)?

OEM or aftermarket wheels?

The OEM rear wheel is only 8.5" wide, the maximum recommended tire is 255.

It may be possible to fit a 275 on a 8.5" wheel but I wouldn't recommend it and it's 20 mm wider than the tire manufacturers allows.

The PZero i have on the car look horrible.
I need to get wider tires for the rear. Just that i have to find out the max size i can go with for the 8.5 rim.
