Thanks! No rubbing and no spacers. The recommended front tire size is 235/40-18 tires but 225/45-18 will also work which is what the original wheels had. Previously had staggered BMW 400Ms so I just used the tires I already had.

Just to update, I'm lowered on Bilstein B14 coilovers now. Did about 0.75" drop in the front and 0.5" in the rear from M Sport suspension.

Had no issues with 2.2deg front camber and 1.2deg rear camber.
Currently running 1deg front camber and 1.2 deg rear camber.

No rubbing at all with any of the above changes.

How much room did you have between the tires and struts / shocks on the stock adaptive? Do you think you could have fit a 255 in front and 285 in back?

I had standard M Sport suspension not the adaptive.

Not sure on those sizes. I'll try to get some pics of the strut clearance when I have time. I think the bigger concern would be clearing the fender liner in the front when turning the wheels. It's pretty tight as it is with the 245s.

Expert@ApexRaceParts Do you guys have any experience with Yoko A052 fitment?

I should be getting my Arc8 (18x9 ET30) next week and looking into tires. After doing some searching, I have settled for Yoko A052 in 255/40-18 (squared setup). However, I hear they run wider than normal. Any experiences with this? Right now the car is on stock M-Sport EDC suspension but will be lowered on Bilstein PSS10 in 2 weeks.

Thanks for the question! We generally recommend a 255/35-18 for these wheels so the extra height of the 255/40 setup combined with the fact that the A052s run wide will likely cause some rubbing. If you can source a 255/35-18 A052 that would be the preferable size, or if necessary you can drop down to a 245/40-18. Considering you plan on lowering the car, the 255/35 tires will likely be the most ideal setup although you may need to dial in some additional front negative camber after lowering to clear your fenders.

It's tough to make a blanket camber recommendation here as it will depend on how much you lower the car. We also have not tested this setup with the A052s as I said before. -2 degrees would be a good place to start if camber is needed, but first you should test fit the wheel setup to confirm that it is necessary.

Have you guys tested this setup with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ in 255/35/18 on a 18x9 square setup? Am stock now but will be putting coil overs on down the line.

Sure, I could also get you pictures.

I don't have my alignment specs off hand, but got it done at the BMW dealership and they're within factory specs, it's not necessary to run any crazy negative camber.

We have not tested this fitment with A/S 3s but at stock ride height generally these tires are a direct fit if they aren't aggressive summer or track compounds. Some of our customers have needed to add front negative camber or roll the rear fenders slightly in order for this tire size to clear.

If you are looking for a surefire direct fit, the 245/40s are a better option especially at stock ride height.
