Firstly thank you for all the wonderful compliments on the car!!! More pictures will be uploaded as and when I manage to catch the right shot under the best lighting.
Walking out the front door this morning to see the side of the car ready to be driven generated the buzz once again. For those that weren't in S-E England, it was a very frosty morning with a low of -6 degrees celsius recorded. The car was covered in frost and the roar from turning the engines on was hair raising. I even stood outside in the cold just to listen to the exhaust! Driving the car to work continued to attract the attention as it did during the first day and even had people giving way in places where it is usually very hard to pull out. This is where I had to fuel the car up for the first time and to my surprise the car averaged 18 MPG from the petrol station to work which was a 4 mile journey through town taking 20 minutes. This emphasises the fact that the car can be utilised daily but still not break the bank in terms of running costs as other supercars of equivalent performance would do. Close to work I then had my first brown pants moment as the rear end started to slip out while coming of a roundabout but luckily managed to control this and continue on the journey. As good as the BMW engineering is, c444BHP going through the rear tyres will always be dicey on our icy roads, note to myself winter tyres are the next purchase before next winter. Pulling into the work car park I was barely allowed time to park up before a couple of colleagues approached to see/hear the car. The first reactions of everyone I spoke to today was "woooooow" where all were amazed by the red interior, quality of the ceramic coating and also the burble and spitting out of the exhaust. Along with the comments on the looks, everyone made a specific mention on the alloys and how good they look along side the black bodywork. As the day went on the requests to see the car continued with multiples coming out, all then ending with the comments of wanting one for themselves. The drive home was just as exhilarating with numerous heads turning and people even walking backwards to stare at the car. Overall, I’m very happy on the purchase and impressed that I will be able to use it as the daily car which no doubt will continue to put a grin on my face every time I turn it on! Ps: I never thought getting the car ceramic'd would get this much attention on the car and impressed by the depth of shine, paintwork quality and level of beading on the car. I think some form of paintwork protection is now a clear requirement on such cars and if anyone wants any details, happy to be contacted and can share as appropriate. Also, if anyone is interested, my F30 saloon is for sale on the forum which has also been ceramic'd and an enjoyable ownership experience especially with the level of options on the car. As you can see from this one I clearly love BMWs and have had 13+ in the household so true enthusiasts. |

Exactly the same combo as mine! Have never seen another. Very good choice there, lol, cough cough.
Lower & space it out makes it look even better imo, if that's possible. Enjoy!

I thought that
I know I would add the M Performance aero pack to the outside and probably the M Performance exhaust... it would be too hard to resist

Thanks again all!
In terms of modifications for the car, probably leave it as standard for the moment atleast because of first m car and want to get used to it. Not a bad view for the drive at the moment, shame we’re missing the E36 GT2! |

I think even a measly Golf R stage 1 can hit 400bhp with stage 2 a bit higher etc Surely you need to be having far more oomph than council estate golfs. |
