I'm planning on trying the MHD 2+ HPFP map, my stock hpfp is close to 100k and I've managed to make 401hp using MHD's ots 2+ map.. so naturally I'm considering doing the TU pump now.

Is it the cam follower that we're worried about seeing damage on? I was just watching a slightly related pump repair video where they replaced the follower itself, they lifted it out just fine, so if this is the only concern I'd be happy to check it every 10k or so and replace if damage is detected.

Right now there's a sale on Pure500's where I can pick one up for £950, but even then the install rate is going to be between £400-600.. with the car picking up mileage I can't justify spending £1500+ for an extra 30-40hp. So that brings me to here and why I'm considering a hpfp and trying for a small increase.

Edit: oh I forgot to add, I can pick the actual Bosch pump up for £220 right now, my go to supplier for Bosch parts has a 20% off sale on all parts which feels like a steal.

So what's the issue? I think we beat this thread to death, and subsequent ones. There is a shop in the UK that installs these on customer cars - I posted their info before, and per them, they have never had an issue.

Sorry I just wasn't seeing anyone who had installed these come back and give feedback down the line.

Discount ends today so I've ordered one so I don't miss out on the £55 discount making it £223 - WG wanted £350, some other UK stockists wanted north of £500.

I have to apologize because my post sounded very dismissive. But yeah, the forums have been dead recently. I think social media like Facebook and Instagram are killing them.

Worst places for information are the most popular.

Haha you don't need to man, reading even further back it looks like a LENGTHY debate

I'm going to try and source some E20 fuel once I have the pump installed, here in the UK it's non existent.. in fact we were recently forced to run E10 91 or pay a premium for less ethanol. So far I've only found one supplier who wants £140 for 25L of premixed E20

You can check this thread about it -

But the B58 will max out the turbo. You can get a high effort tune on pump gas, you'll just need a good tuner.

Completed the install today - I ended up using washers to get more bite on the pump.

Had a little hassle when it came to cutting the the excess off, my dremel metal disks just wouldn't hack it. Managed to not have to bend any pipes, the first steel line that feeds the HPFP I wiggled and pulled towards myself, quite a lot excess then shifted forwards from the clips that hold it in place, just had to put some leverage on the pipe whilst I threaded the nut back on and it drew it in nicely.

Also had to dremel some of the intake plastic ribbing off the bottom, the plug direction was hitting it which I recall seeing someone on here do. If you flipped the connector and spliced a bit of extra wiring on then maybe I wouldn't have had to but I wasn't about soldering wires today.

Very fortunate that I had my fathers tools on hand, machine drill and bench grinder to make a clean job of it all.

Flashed 93 HPFP from MHD and it definitely feels more lively - got a bunch of VP Racing booster to try tomorrow for the 95 map. Maybe when I'm brave enough I'll get a small tank of ethanol ordered to mix.
