New OEM BMW front splitter ordered on Thursday from BMW eBay (£427)

Unfortunately the wife managed to catch a kerb Thursday lunchtime and ripped it off It's split/cracked in a few places and not fixable...

I went up there with a trolley jack and tools and fortunately it'd ripped out the self tapping screws and they were still in the splitter, so wound them out and screwed them back in again, it's not going anywhere for now

She's not hurt, that's what's important

I'll fit the new one as soon as it lands; have decent 3M tape and Mammoth tape in the garage and various self tapping screws etc

Will get some pics up once it lands and I get to fit it

The centre piece is screwed in (self tappers); I'll be doing the same (neater) and using small sections of mammoth tape there as it needs to be much stronger than 3M tape

3M I'll use along the bottom and for the fascia pieces under the fog lights etc

Self tapper either end of the bottom section also

Have a think before you weld it on with tape…
If / when it gets caught again, would you rather loose the splitter or have it wreck the bottom of the actual bumper?

I won't be using enough to create any damage, just enough to keep it in situ with the self tappers

Looking good

The genuine one looks and fits great. Was it on a BF deal?

I thought about getting one and colour coding it (to cover up the mess the previous owner's cheap copy caused) as I'm not 100% on all the blackness up front

BMW eBay had them at a reduced price at £427!

Back to £570 now but £545 with a discount code

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174797067057

Crazy prices

Boooo! Oh well, next year then

It suits your car in black, maybe because it's silver and you also have the black decals on the sill covers to compliment it, and black wheels, but when I see the splitter on blue or white F30s with nothing else done, it just looks a bit naff, imo

Going for the matching bonnet stripes next?

Full detail today (cleaned it thoroughly inside yesterday)... It's 2ºC today; rather than -4ºC yesterday

Mine will get done tomorrow or Tuesday; my body's had enough for today...
