Hello,

Bought the 2018 440i xDrive 76K miles recently. Car runs great so far, but I had a chance to have the car lifted to take a look underneath and instantly noticed an oil leak. Attaching some photos. Please advise if its the turbo oil return or if it could be something else. Mechanic was confident on the oil return line. Pretty disappointed due to dealer claiming that all is good, but it looks like a mess underneath...

Was not able to clean this, but plan to clean when I get some jack stands.

Unfortunately, it's going to take some work on your end to confirm the exact cause. The picture doesn't help to narrow it down. As you said, clean it up really well and start watching the possible locations. Certainly, annoying but you can take your time to figure it out rather than throwing parts at it.
