I need help - F30 2017 330i xDrive
My handbrake seems to have a problem. I hear an annoying sound while driving. If I pull the handbrake just a bit, it stops. Is it the shoe inside the drum?
Anything else? Loose cable? Last edited by FancyTie; 11-17-2024 at 08:55 PM.. |

Try this.
Just need to jack up one side and remove one lug nut. Very easy to adjust the handbrake this way. I've done it on my E90, can't see the F30 being too much different.

Caveat: remote diagnostics are what they are.
This could very well be a known issue: the plastic OEM parking cable clip is broken. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1997235 Replace it with a metal clip instead. |

Could be this. Was my first thought but my car doesn’t do any sound similar to those videos so I can’t tell if it’s the plastic bracket! |
