iDrive Map update options
I let the BMW map update and RTTI options lapse a few years ago, but renewed the RTTI two years ago, because I do find it useful at times.
It's due again now. If I renew the map update as well, does anyone know if it will be for the latest map or just the year after the original subscription lapsed?

Depends on which iDrive you have but the older CIC (idrive 4 ?) can easily be updated for nothing, the later NBT Evo need a FSC code which cost me about 30 quid which enabled lifetime map updates. Obviously there is a bit of time involved downloading the map files but it's pretty straightforward

Nice.
I used to have one of those in the car until about 10 years ago. I lost it somewhere.... But you usually needed one of these when you got close to where you were going... https://collins.co.uk/collections/a-...atlases?page=2 I remember spending ages, trying to find a street in the Birmingham area, because of a misprint in the index listing an incorrect page. Bloody typo's! And a big box in the car boot to keep all the A-Z's in. (Well, them and other junk).

Which iDrive do you have? I have a 2017 F30 LCI with ID5 but the latest map I have is Road Map EUROPE EVO 2024-2. I have checked the map on the BMW Download Manager on my Windows 11 laptop but it isn't reporting a map later than that for my car. How come you have 2024-4? Thanks.

I either mis-read it or that was another typo.....
