B58 SWAP INTO N55 f30. IS IT POSSIBLE?

Absolutely nothing wrong with my f30 n55 but my ultimate goal is to swap in a b58 for more power and get it on the track. I realize selling and getting a b58 is much easier but having to do that is a task itself. What are your thoughts on this idea ? Also what are headaches that come with this type of swap if it’s even possible?

I saw a quote once that was

"If you had the ability to do it, you wouldn't ask questions and you'd already be doing it"

Basically, if you could pull this off (because it IS possible) you'd already be working through it. But it literally does not make sense to do this, you're better off selling your car and buying something with a B58.

Yea your probally right. The amount of power I can get from just a motor swap is unreal so I thought maybe taking a shortcut could do but seems to be more of a headache then short cut from what I read.

It would be cheaper to swap a P600 and be done with it.

Well my thoughts are that if you're gonna go through the trouble of an engine swap, do something interesting. You have an F30 sedan, B58 was available from the factory on the LCI, so it isn't interesting. Personally I've been toying with the idea of LS swapping my 335i if the N55 grenades. That or something like an RB26 if I wanna keep the inline 6 thing going. But that's only something I'd do if the N55 died. I am looking into getting a car for the track but I decided it would be better to have a dedicated second car (E46?) due to the weight of the F30 and the compromises that I'd have to make that would make it a worse daily driver.
