B58TU fuel pump

Usually extra 15-30bhp and a bucket load more torque

Here's a direct comparison between stage 2 and stage 2+ on my car. It looks like an extra 60NM of torque, approx 40bhp midrange and 25bhp peak. You really need to add 5 litres of ethanol to every tank of 99Ron fuel though to manage timing corrections. I wasn't running ethanol at the time but it would have increased slightly further if I had been.

Fueling does make the biggest difference between 2 and 2+.

Here was mine stage 2 on Asda 95

That's impressive. Mine was on Momentum 99. What time of the year was that, out of curiosity? I have heard that Charlie uses a fixed barometric pressure reading, which can sort of scew the results a little bit. An M140i with the exact same mods, fuel and MHD map ran immediately after me and there was less than 5bhp between us.

Would be interested to see what ethanol does.

Earlier in the year I was running a dorch pump and pure 800 setup, but only made 530bhp.... much lower than what all these youtubers say.

This stage 2 dyno run was recent, think it was around 14 degrees c on the day.

I've now reverted back to stock power as of today, as multi car insurance wouldn't cover me this year for the >25% increase in power.

You can see the timing corrections in my curve - I think there would definitely be more in it but I'll confirm next time I go back there. FYI, I made 493bhp on the E40 map. That's really good considering the only hardware mods are a downpipe and TU pump!

Very strong figures on E40 you’ve got there. How do you mix for E40? I’ve seen multiple guides but not sure given fuel in the UK is already E5/E10…..

Side note, I think Charlie has new prices as of Jan.

I don't run anything more than E10 on a regular basis, which I just add to the tank. On the very rare occasion that I run the E40 map I use MHD to display the fuel tank in litres and just add the correct ratio accordingly. I actually go for E45 just in case. I don't blend it separately or anything like that. I typically only do one tank of E40, then back to E10 again.

I assume that the pump fuel is less than what's advertised by the way. People have tested Esso Supreme and Momentum, and found that they are often less than 3%.

Yeah he mentioned his prices were going up when we were there in October.

Do you need anything to go with it or just the fuel pump on it's own?
ie https://performancem.co.uk/choose-yo...p-upgrade-b58/

And are you running BM3 stage 2+ tune with a decat?

Sorry, seems I diverted the thread

correct - all you need is the B58TU pump and a sports cat/decat. BM3 on 2+ should see you north of 450bhp. A good friend of mine is running this setup on his M140i.

You'll notice the increased torque almost instantly.

Something for the new year, thanks!👍
Which pump is popular with the b58?
