Lowering 435d Gran Coupe X-drive.

I’ve lowered my 435 on springs that state a 30mm drop all round.

However, they’ve not dropped as much as I’d have hoped on the rear end. I know x-drive don’t drop as much, but has anyone got any suggestions or recommendations and pictures of their cars where it’s lower?

Cheers.

Yeah looks wicked mate but I don’t want to go for coilovers at this time! Can’t really afford them either haha.

I’m getting a weird vibration when first engaging in reverse and sometimes drive so I think I’m too low on the front springs at 30mm, it’s putting stress on transfer box I reckon.

ACS are considered to give the best drop & stance. With handling to match.
Eibach Pro are a close second.

I had ACS springs before the KW’s.
It still had a small back rake.
I wanted it just 8-10mm lower in the front and KW did the job.

My shocks were done so I pulled the trigger on the DDC’s.
But yes they are a bit expensive 😐

I get that. But the OP just wants springs for now. You’re right, can’t beat replacing the lot.

I’m unsure what to do, I’m low enough at the front but it just won’t drop low enough at the rear and due to x-drive it’s obviously that tad higher too.

These springs I have are 30mm all round, I need 20-25mm on the front and like a 40mm on the rear but I haven’t a clue which springs offer this!

Go for the Eibach Pro Kit (black springs, NOT red)

They're what I run on our F31 (albeit RWD) and there's zero issues and it's lowered it enough for my liking, about 15mm max

they ride superbly also (on new Bilstein B4S shocks and as part of a full suspension overhaul)

Coilovers are your only option then

If you want that low; springs are not the answer as they'll kill your shocks and make the ride shite...

Go for BCs or STs if you don't want to spend too much

You'll have to do some research but I'd say around the £800-£1k mark
