Talked to John last night. Turned out he and I had some mutual friends and the shop is down the street, had to give them a try. Next week is pretty much a dead week for most aftermarket parts companies due to SEMA so I'm hoping the have them in hand about a week after SEMA. Did you end up ordering? He mentioned another F30 owner who previously had KW's was either thinking of ordering or already placed an order.
Excited to finally get coils, now I can throw some wheels on and ditch my OE 17's!

Yup! Quality springs typically make a big difference, though I'm sure nothing is wrong with the standard springs. Still undecided on which rates to go with though. Curious, who did you order from? PM me if you don't wish to post.

Edit: If there is a Mod reading, would you mind re-titling this thread to "F30 Coilovers Options - Comprehensive Overview" or something similar? I'm trying to keep this thread up to date with relevant & unbiased info for anyone looking for a coilover kit for the F30.

The H&R's look reasonably priced indeed. The new thread up has a lot of info and great pics. I was surprised to see the car in the H&R booth at SEMA this year!
Would be best to contact one of their resellers and ask if they are open for order. You could also try contacting KW NA but I feel that might be a bit trickier to get an answer.

I just ordered my self a KW DDC for F30. comes compatible with on board BMW EDC.
so just plug in & play as inform from my local shop, & no recoding are needed, dunno if this is true. Has anybody using this KW DDC yet? looking for any review on this kit. my question is: Can u still add Wifi Module for iphone if u want the factory edc button to work as well. so both factory EDC & iphone to work together. |

So my shop told me the following regarding KW's EDC delete and non delete options and for other coilovers.
M sport package owners have M adaptive suspension which throws off a code or some message if it can't detect it. KW has the EDC delete module which doesn't allow the code or message to come on. Can we get a list of coilovers that are confirmed to not throw off codes for M sport package owners? Thanks. |

So the whole KW recall thing is a bunch of B.S? Or what?

Supposedly! However, I did have one of their reseller's tell me they tried to order a KW kit for a customer but KW had halted sales due to an issue with the coilover design. I work with this shop regularly so I'm not sure why they would tell me if it weren't true.
Either way, it's good to see KW is backing their product! For anyone interested in KW's, Tremolo's thread does lend some insight to the current design.

Glad KW is still standing behind the product and clearing up the words that have been floating around.

I spoke to a distributor for BC and, based on their replies, and the fact that I despise the fact that my F30 looks like it is walking around on stilts, I suppose that's the way I'll go.
Truthfully, though, as I doubt I would be swapping the ride-height any, coilovers seem like overkill but I don't want to purchase just springs, either, and I'm unable to find F30 shocks... |
