440i MPSSK tuning options

Hi Everyone!

Recently picked up my Mexico blue 440i with full m performance parts excluding wheels.

I was wondering what tuning options are best? I.e JB4 Vs ECU flash by dms for example?

Sorry if this has previously been covered, newbie to the forum.

Thanks in advance

You come here with a gorgeous New Mexico Blue car....and no pictures.

I jest of course but let's see it
I'll leave actual replies to those who have tuned their 40i's such a shame the MPPK is no longer supplied, seemed like a no brainier if staying OEM.

Good luck with the enhancements.

Have BMW stopped supplying that for second-hand cars as well as new ones caught by the latest WLTP emission regulations?

No there are still a few kicking around for cars that qualify.

I do apologise...... hopefully below is a picture!

not sure if that imagine has worked or not :

Been doing some reading on pros and cons of various options and still can't decide. Thinking to enjoy the car as it is for a while and go from there.

Hmm yes good point. I suppose a non PPF pre July car, no issue fitting if there is stock about.

Superb looking car there. Cracking colour. I'd tend to agree to enjoy the car a bit first.

@Southern Jay and Chris can provide their opinions on the DMS remap first hand.

Jay has the Remus powerizer which is just a piggyback before the remap too.

I will say though that experiencing Chris' 444hp remap from DMS back-to-back with my 360-370ish from the mppsk, there is a massive difference in how hard it pulls at higher speeds.

Thanks for the response everyone, interesting to see what option I end up going for.

I won't be rushing into anything though that's for sure!

Great looking car. Is it a ppf car (July onwards build) ? If it's pre-July you may still find a MPPSK at a couple of dealers.

Cheers

There's still dealerships ith MPPSK in stock, just call around and find one. I'm running a JB4 set to Map 3 on top of the MPPSK and made 443hp with that combo

Nice to see a 4 in an unusual colour

I waited nearly 3 years for my MPPSK... but it was worth the wait

I've got the MPPSK fitted at present

I'm thinking JB4 at the moment, would everyone wait until a couple of thousand has been covered? Or is proper running in a myth?

No this is just the map for 99 RON fuel. No meth at this stage.... let's hope I can keep it that way haha.

It's running fine, a map certainly has its advantages but I had that JB4 fall in my lap for cheap so I gave it a go and so far I'm well happy with it.

Been told with downpipe it should push probably just shy of 480, meth and turbos would put it north of 600.

But first let me find a LSD and survive winter haha

440-445 is meant to be the top end of stock + MPPSK exhaust system + remap.

455-465 is downpipe and decat

Wrench ran 490 with meth, downpipe, decat and an agressive map.

Meth AND turbos AND fuel pump will get you close to 550
