From the frozen wasteland that is the U.S. Northeast right now. Today in the Philadelphia area it is supposed to go below zero, I've been here my whole life and don't recall it getting this cold before. Plus, it's windy. There is so much salt on the road that the car is having trouble detecting the paint lines for the lane departure warning feature.
At least I got the BMW Performance alcantara armrest to keep it a little warmer. (Totally worthwhile mod, BTW.) The heated steering wheel is actually saving me money, because I don't want to give up that feature for the BMW Performance alcantara wheel. Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 winter tires are working just fine. I didn't have trouble going up snowy/icy inclines. I noticed some slippage when accelerating but you just feather the gas and it grabs hold. Stopping is very secure. These tires seem quiet enough on regular roads. Charles
