turning lights/bulbs options

Hello Everyone,

I'm thinking on changing my standard turning signal bulbs to something else. Does anyone has experience with fine led products or chrome bulbs?

Thanks in advance!

I have only found these:

Thank you! My only fear with leds is the flickering effect which is caused by vehicle diagnostics or so - I don't have any experience with that but I
have seen it on other vehicles - I hope it can be avoided somehow.

Have you considered Coding? It is very simple to do with good resources on the subject available on this forum and a coding cable available on Ebay.
Shawnsheridan can help you get started.

You would need to code the bulbs for cold and warm checks and the coding guide gives you an idea on how to go about it.

I have the Weisslicht Spektrum led turn signals and fogs. Turns flicker even though they said they would not. Only do it for 2-3 seconds on initial start up. I believe I have read they also do it every 10 minutes when car is running because computer system does a check that often. My fogs I would have to check if they flicker or not. They are expensive and one of the best aftermarket manufacturers out there and they still flicker. I put them on my x3 also and they do the same thing.

I'd like to go LED, but I've yet to see anyone with a true plug and play that doesn't have problems, and I don't feel like jumping through hoops like coding etc. LED bulbs are fundamentally different from incandescent, so the only way they'll work well is in a system designed from the ground up to use them.

I remember the first time I experienced BMW xenon's on my e46 and I thought this is amazing compared to the new Explorer I had just got rid off. I have not seen the led's in person but I am not sure if I am going to spend the money to get them on whatever I end up leasing later this year.

Wait till you see the laser lights. They will take some time to trickle down to the 3-series..

Hi all, I have removed my F34 front turn signal bulb and I can sure that the front turn signal socket is PY24W instead of PY21W!
Here is the photo after I removed the front turn signal bulb.
