That would make some sense to me. Going through the coding options and choosing an invalid chassis/engine combination for ASD didn't change how my car sounded at all.

I just went ahead and did some coding through BimmerCode.

I removed ASD.

Wow! It's almost as if I'm driving an entirely new vehicle. I recommend this to anyone who hasn't done it.

I believe it was the first option on the list. You just change it from unassigned to deactivated.
