Aatish, it looks like the BMS tips are shorter than the stock tips, is that the case?

They are shorter from the back end, however stick out about the same, if not a little more.

looks much better then before. I was skeptical about the burnt colour, but it looks awesome with your paint.

if you debadge the 335i / x drive logo off the back and tint your windows (if you havent already) it will really complete the look of your car.

Any update on tips for the mpe?

I'll take some measurements when I'm back, but in theory they should fit.

MPE pipe is a bit larger in diameter than stock. The tips are held by the friction created by the spring arms one the inner wall of the tip.

I'm 90% certain they should fit, but don't have an MPE to test on. If any of you guys have an MPE and stock exhaust tips, try slipping them on. If they fit and stay, then these should fit and stay.

That's what I'm thinking that In theory it should fit but no one confirmed yet and it's also stated on the site that it's not for use with the mpe.

It's for the 2er, but I'm certain it also holds true for 3er.

BMS replied to my email and stated that the tips won't fit the MPE and the tabs will break if I tried.

Too bad and the search continues. Anybody know of other options?

Can't believe that there's no other options besides bmw tips for the MPE.

The problem with the MPE is the diameter of pipe is smaller than the stock, by 1/2 an inch I think. You could bend the friction clips to get the tips to stay, but there will be a gap in between the pipe and the inner tip wall.

Other way around, the MPE exhaust end is 80mm while the stock is 70mm. Some cram their stock tips on since the diameter is big enough, but mushes the spring clips.

But it is hard to find 80mm inlet tips besides the $20 M Performance tips with the $80 ///M etched on or the $300 CF Ms.

That's an option. I think ECS Tuning has some adjustable diameter tips. Not sure if anyone tried them, or if they're still for sale...but hey, worth a shot.

yes it did fit.... you have to bend the clips and work with them one at a time... but they fit, fairly snug also...

the outlet of the BMS tip is smaller than the MPE outlet so it will wrap inside the MPE pipe... so when you look at it.. it looks fine.. no gaps

i have black BMS tips which is a tad bit bigger than the M performance tips.. and since i bought these used and cheap. no complaints but i will be looking for a pair of Burnt Slant Tips to replace these.

That’s all the pics I took during the install..

Attempt the bms tip install at your own risk, as BMS stated they are designed for the stock muffler, and with the enlarged outlet on the MPE, you risk the possibility of snapping off the spring clips when forcing the install.
