FYI the first F55 prototype is being tested. I emailed them to get more info since I don't have facebook. They are supposedly going to offer an open beta once the initial testing is complete. Hoping I can get in on that.

That's the same input they gave me. Sounded to me they've got a decent bit more testing to do before the open beta happens.

So, I went to the other side of the spectrum for now and jumped on a barely used TTE460 for a really good deal. Gonna try to hit 475whp on the Stg 2+ E30 map, while keeping stock like spool and power staying flat to redline. Will know for sure or not in a few weeks.

I like the larger manifold on the Shuenk, so let's hope the testing and beta pans out.

Ahh TTE makes a turbo that works for us? I cAme across them when I had an Audi 1.8t back in the day. Interesting. I wonder if there are any viable twin scrolls that fall between ps1 and ps2

I run an E50 mix on the Stg 2+ E30 OTS map, so should be able to top the other TTE460 dyno charts I've seen floating around.

I'm not a fan of additional lag, so PS2 wasn't going to work for me. The Shuenk is an interesting option that supposedly has better spool up and top end than a PS2 if they can get it working good & into production.

Was just looking at a product page for it and I see spool is ~2500rpm

Yeah, if you're not looking for 500+whp (we can't keep that much power cool enough on a hot summer track day anyways) or additional lag, the TTE460 is a great option. My Dinan turbo hits 507wftlbs at 2500rpm, but falls flat above 6k. Hoping to smooth that out. The TTE550 is another great option, as well, for PS2 like power.

TTE's are just tough to justify in the US bc you have to pay more coin than I was interested in to get an all new unit from Germany, or your car is down for over a month if you send your turbo & manifold in for remanufacturing. Neither option was very attractive to me, so I never jumped on it.

However, the guy I bought mine from had a full brand new TTE460 turbo & manifold with few miles on it, so I snagged it. Even though I still had to have it shipped from Australia.

The Shuenk is still pretty interesting b/c it's supposed to have better than PS2 power without as much lag, and a good price point. I just doubt it'll be dyno and track proven on more than a handful of cars within the next 6-12mo, so I couldn't pass up the TTE460 deal in the meantime.

Let's hope the Shuenk comes quicker, tho. We've all been clamoring for a different turbo option!

Looking forward to your results, I know we will see good dyno and 100-200 data from you on this turbo.

I'm still holding out to see how the n55+ testing goes. Hopefully it can do what they initially set out to do, better spool with more top end over a ps2. We will see.

Let me tell ya, I run the F55 with only a TU pump and walbro 450 and Fogr 900 and only at 23 psi this thing is a beast! Will likely be towards 28psi or so in a week or two.

Please do post a log of the fogr and indicate what tune and fuel you are on.

Thanks, the link didnt work though; it only downloads the CSV and i couldnt modify the web address to bring me to the actual log graphics
