Main reasons for Keiser were very low maintenance, it's commercial grade and very compact. Looks the business too.

The wife and I use it with a the usual cycling apps (including the free trial of Peloton) and I have a Les Mills on demand discounted membership so we can do RPM classes (along with the other LM stuff)
Thanks. Have never heard of Keizer. Stuff looks great!!!

It’s good stuff. I found out a out them because our gym got Keiser bikes in their studios a few years back and made a big showcase around them.
Tech and features may have moved on but they look cool as f** so that’s me sold

Looks an interesting option.

My gym uses technogym stuff - pretty awful.

Presume from "usual cycling apps" that this works fully with Zwift, all functionality?

You need the M converter to work fully with Zwift. This is currently free with the M3i bike.

Also doesn’t include IIRC £70 delivery. I’d also recommend to buy the dumbbell holders at £45.

For the M3i, you’ll get small change from £2k

Gentlemen, I would draw your attention to Rules 5 & 9......

Seriously, there are days when the howling wind/driving rain/ice & snow even put me off... - on those occasions I just use a ‘dumb’ trainer and stick on some YouTube videos to follow - there’s a Melbourne-based cycling club CTXC I think - who have a lot of good sessions running from 30 to 90 minutes depending on how energetic you’re feeling.

And for those of you doing Peloton classes, a salutary lesson....

Perfect thread timing!

Been looking at these trying to figure out whether it’s value vs other bikes

It's been exactly 365 days since we took delivery of the Peloton bike. The world feels like a totally different place right now in 2022 vs 2021.

Peloton had truly earnt its place in the household though, it appears I've used the app/bike over once a day on average (wifes numbers are similar).

Total cost for the last year including buying the bike works out as £6/day for both of us. Not cheap, has it been worth it? You guys can decide.....

Me aged 38, about 4 months before getting the Peloton bike/app.

Right now, aged 40. My resting HR is currently just over 40, and I need to go shopping for new trousers very soon as I appear to now to be a 30 inch waiste instead of 34.

Sounds like the convenience of having it in the house and suiting your lifestyle is great. £6 per day is definitely ok as spending it on health.
Im nearly 44. In the past year I have gained with lifting. functional strength has improved.
For eg-
Carrying a 32 pack of water bottles with one hand previously needed both hands and my spine. etc. Many other examples won't list them.
Never used steroids. No dietary changes, eat and drink at will. I do take a whey protein shake daily in the morning with breakfast.
I'd encourage you/anyone not to consider lifting if not do so as you seem to have reaped benefits of cardio already.
I started a few months ago and feel mentally great overall. The endorphins are good.

Actually for the last 4 months I've done far more 'strength' based classes on Peloton than cardio, and the change in my body shape has been pretty radical as a result.

Most of my cardio is right now coming from my eBike commute, and Peloton is been used to do 1-2 30mintue 'strength' sessions a day.

So effectively am doing it all, weights, cardio, and more recent having just fruit for lunch (dieting). We all get older, but no reason why we cannot be fitter too .

Cardiovascular 'endurance' on ebike and Cardiovascular 'strength' on peloton.
