2018 F30/32 LCI rear fog coding
Has anyone figured out how to code the rear fog lamp function for the new 2018 F30/32/82 LED tail lamp clusters? Please note that these are not the same as Euro LED tail lamps already discussed in this forum; they have different reverse lamp sections and no apparent fog section, but it must be there if this version is now standard on the same 2018 cars in Europe.
I was able to make the correct headlamp switch modification (grind off 3 tabs) and did the coding that worked on my old 2015 F32 [For reference: FEM -> 3060 -> NSL_Verbaut (Value= Verbaut) REM -> 3063 -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_L_output (Value = nsl_l) REM -> 3063 -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_L_function (Value=nebelschlusslicht) REM -> 3063 -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_R_output (Value = nsl_r) REM -> 3063 -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_R_function (Value = nebelschlusslicht)] The yellow fog lamp symbol lights in the instrument cluster, but nothing happens in the tail lamp. Picture of new 2018 tail lamp is attached, and can also be seen at: http://www.motortrend.com/2018-bmw-4...pe-tail-light/. Thanks a lot for any ideas! |

2018 BMW F30/32 rear fog coding SOLVED
Answering my own question, after a bit of experimentation, I was able to program the outer (fender) turn signal lamps as fogs, as follows:
FEM -> 3060 -> NSL_Verbaut (Value= Verbaut) REM -> 3063 -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_L_output (Value = 0x20) REM -> 3063 -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_L_function (Value=nebelschlusslicht) REM -> 3063 -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_R_output (Value = 0x21) REM -> 3063 -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_R_function (Value = nebelschlusslicht) Everything else works as before. This also works for F82. As everyone says, "Do it your own risk." Now, does anyone know the coding for the inner (trunk lid) turn signal lamps? Experimentation got me nowhere -- perhaps there is a "dependency", , , |

Funny... I had just taken pictures of my car and was planning to post them with a similar question.
I tried changing values to the ones you listed: Quote:
I have a 2018 440i with every option except track handling, headlight washers and heated steering wheel. |

Finally got it to work using BimmerCode. I could never enter the hex codes with esys.
I would prefer to use the inner turn signals for fog lights. Anybody know the value? |

Realize this thread is a bit old, but did you ever get the inner trunk lid fog lights to work? I have the same issue. Thx |

Finally! Thanks to a recent post on the F82 forum, I was able to add the inner lights as fog lamps.
REM -> 3063 -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_L_output (Value = 00x1A) REM -> 3063 -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_R_output (Value = 00x1B) If you're using Bimmercode, just enter the values as 1A and 1B, without the leading 00x. Quote:

Could anyone please help. I've coded the following below, no luck. When I pushed the rear fog light button, no indicator light for rear fog light on the dash lit up. Using esys and no errors during the coding process.
FEM -> 3060 -> NSL_Verbaut (Value= Verbaut) REM -> 3063 -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_L_output (Value = 1A) REM -> 3063 -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_L_function (Value=nebelschlusslicht) REM -> 3063 -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_R_output (Value = 1B) REM -> 3063 -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_R_function (Value = nebelschlusslicht) Note, reason I edit value to 1A and 1B, because 00x1A and 00x1B were invalid when saving. Btw, I'm trying to code my F32, that is MY2020 LCI. |

Same situation, can't seem to decipher the hex code using esys.. Gotten far enough to modify the rear fog light button but wonder if others could share what they did using esys.

The US spec all red inner tails do not have the rear fog lamp LEDs installed. I bought the blackline Euro ones which I think look better anyway. Worth it.

Does anyone know how to code the LOWER INNER tail light to act as the rear fog?
