I am personally waiting for Bilstein to come out with a comfort series for my F36. The drop range is more reasonable 10-40mm. I would like a 25mm drop which would be perfect for my daily driver. |

another way to put it. I'm not good enough driver to explore the true limits of the car. If I was that good of a driver I'd probably want coil overs. I prefer a better chassis over more engine. Muscle car, 0-60 sprints or street racing isn't my purpose for tuning. I just want to enjoy the turns, on ramps and have a sense of security when I change lanes. To me a better chassis is active safety with HUGE perks.
The visual appearance of a modest drop doesn't hurt and I appreciate closing the wheel gaps. Functionally the MPS drop is ideal. Rarely do I need to worry about scraping. All my research prior to getting the MPS compared to coils and the minimum drop was too much. In hindsight, maybe I could have gotten the x-drive model and gone with DHP + Dinan springs/shockwave and been satisfied. Going with a RWD model had some early apprehension, but for the most part, winter mobility hasn't been an issue. There are so many options with a 3 series but I stuck to my guns, plans and budget. I purposely chose the RWD, N20 engine for the lighter weight upfront and the 6MT. Knowing the handling is better on a MPS 328i than a MPS 335i. Last edited by focal; 01-13-2015 at 10:03 AM.. |

Now here's a question: does anyone know the part numbers for the individual shocks in the MPS kit? Last edited by Polo08816; 01-13-2015 at 10:43 AM.. |

That car looks lower than I expected. What is the distance between top of tire and fender? Can you fit your index finger (keeping in straight and horizontal) in between top of tire and fender? If thats the kind of drop I'm looking for too!

And those who think 10mm drop (from m sport suspension) is not enough drop, try this suspension and see of that is not enough. A huge difference even in looks after it gets MPS compared to your stock ones. Besides, if you have m performance splitter etc, you will be glad you are not lower than this. It does look very nice with the MPS. |

here are the pictures you have asked me. It is kind of hard to see, sorry, but you can tell they are the same height. I also measured right after the pictures with a piece of paper and a pen (only things I had at that time), and confirmed they are the same height.

What's the distance between tire to the fender? Why mine looks lower than yours.

The distance is about 2 index fingers on my car. I'm not too worried right now since my car doesn't pull right and I am going to my local dealership this Friday to let the expert take look at it.

My front M suspension had a loud knocking noise yesterday. I took my car to the dealership today and SA told me the two front springs are loose. What the hell!! Brand new suspension kit with less than 2 weeks already failed. Now, my local shop is tearing down the suspension and charge me 2 hours of labor.

So sorry to hear that....ditch MPS and go for Bilsteins!!!!
In all seriousness, how can the front springs be loose? It doesnt make sense to me. Why should you have pay to any labor? Seems like either a defective product or a bad install. |

I would buy a set of Bilsteins if I know they have the 10mm - 30mm kit.
