Hi again,

the third engine mount broke again and the noise is back Something must hurt these engine mounts.

So far the only creaking issue I have is the windows. It started or maybe noticed it a week into ownership.

I have the same issue with my 428i. Metallic creaking sound most prominent in the driver seat footwell (right-hand drive), present when accelerating, coming off the gas, and going over humps. Also present when car has come to a complete stop, hence not likely to be suspension related.

Will send it in to get the mounts and the cat converter looked at. Not likely it’s the mounts because I just had them changed a few months ago.

My noise has eventually come back two years after having the engine mounts replaced. Could an engine mount 'die' within this timeframe? Car is unfortunately now out of warranty, so reluctant to spend big $ to try and diagnose again (e.g. look at the cat converter)
