Pitting clouding on chrome trim

Hey guys, looking for some advice here. The chrome trim around the doors have developed some haze/cloudiness to them. Anyone know how I can restore this? I'm not sure what the material is it feels like plastic but could be some sort of metal?

Can anyone identify a process and some products to use?

It's probably anodized aluminum. You can try a regular car/paint polish first to see if it has any effect.
Some 0000 steel wool and light polishing compound will get anodized parts as clean and shiny as you'll get without removing the anodization & polishing. You can try a specific metal polish for anodized aluminum, based on results. Autosol makes such a polish - Autosol Anodized Aluminum Polish. It's available directly from them, Amazon, Eastwood, etc.: https://www.autosol.com/product_p/1920.htm

Good luck!

Thanks for that link. I've always just put some wax on the trim pieces but it looks like this stuff really cleans deep.
