Good advice - curious to see how both cars cw SVP shape up, if you go back to DMS.

We're planning to take both cars back in a few weeks. Will post results.

What are the chances of the car f'ing up anytime soon with that much power increase? I got MPPSK installed on my 340i about 2 months ago, wouldn't mind getting the power to above 400+hp soon!

More chance of you buying a new Lamborghini than the 440i f'ing up

Well I got a dragy to go with the remap. Poor launch but this should give an idea of quite how quick it is.

60-100 is a little down on what I'd expect from 440+bhp pal.. yours is about half a second off a stock M3

Still pretty quick though

Comparing a stock M3 to an F31... I'd hope the M3 is faster.

The M3 is 280bhp / tonne. - 4.7s 60-100
My car is 253bhp / tonne. - 5.25s 60-100

The M3 is an 'M' car. Mine is just a quick estate.

I've only done one test using draggy for performance times. There might be more in it. That might be all I've got.

Depends were you get your weight figures from .. From actual EU varified (not Weight claimed) I have the M3 253bhp/tonne and yours 242bhp/tonne.. The 'M'is irrelevant in a straight line .. there are no corners..try another test

Stock 340i is 6 seconds 60-100

I'm seeing the F30 as 6.8sec / F31 = 7sec
Swap it over to the F31 with X (only one I could find actual 0-100's) and its 7.7sec.

Scrap that. found some more numbers

where?
F30 is around 11 seconds to 100 stock .. call it roughly 5 seconds to 60 and another 6 to make the 100.. certainly low 6s at worst. Granted the F31 might be a bit slower.

Even zeperfs has 0-100 at 10.9secs for the stock F30 340i

The F31 is heavier than the F30 which is heavier than an M3.
I've updated the graphs to show a bit better.

At the moment I've got a rather quick estate car with a tow hook.
It's not an M car. It doesn't corner like an M car.

It might be quicker after a few more runs but time will tell.

I think a lot of stock F30's are a little quicker than what you have on your graph though

Agree .. you might get a 60-100 in 5 seconds flat after a few more runs

60-100 in 5 flat would make it 0.1sec slower than an M3. Unlikely.

4.9 vs 5.25 isn't a huge gap but we will see.

Also how are people logging these times? Speedo, OBD, GPS, Vbox, Dragy, Drag strip?

Hooded

Because I had nothing better to do - and because I was curious to see if it was possible I did a few runs and managed a 5.01s 60-100.

I had a shockingly poor 1/4mile of 12.84 due to severe lack of grip but hey ho. The numbers are what the numbers are.

Nice ... I told you it should do a 5 second 60-100

Looking at your cars figures vs the M3 figures you post, it's only really 40-60 the M3 gains much on your car .. maybe you had a bit of traction trouble around 40mph?

I remember you posting those findings about TM back in the babybmw day and have been happy not to go miles out of my way to my nearest Shell station since.

May need to fe think that, although not tuned so probably doesn't make any difference.
