So much for not modify the M4 then!
It's a long shot, but they're already mine so worth a try!

Well done Terry, that is one smart looking M4. I like the understated look, colour does so much to give a distinct look, without shouting "look at me".

Enjoy... resist changing it too much.

Too late missed the boat

However, I don't think it's available anymore, as like you I noticed just a week or so ago that it was no longer on the configurator. Even when the salesman tried to send me a link to the build of my car it was coming up in the wrong colour.

It was a standard M colour so no cost, and not available on the standard F30s, and was reasonably popular on the E92 M3, so surprised it wasn't ordered more often than it has been.

If you've already got a car on order then this may not be feasible, but what I did was take a coast2coast quote in for a new car, and asked what cars they had access to that were built already, but unregistered, and therefore eligible for the interest free finance.

The salesman was great, and we scoped out exaclty what spec was must have, what was highly preferential, and then he searched the stock list and came up with this. A heated wheel and extended storage were about the only other things I may have ticked, so I was very happy, and they matched the discount.

Also in my mind was that as my car was built a few months ago it is pre-WLTP and no petrol particulate filter fitted, which is preferable to me. It just sounds like something else to go wrong down the line.
Heard back from my dealer this morning and I am gutted, Silverstone is now only available as an individual special order colour and is £4,500.
Sick as a pig, for that sort of money I may even get a wrap from a good garage.
Enjoy the car and if you see a green person in a white one up alongside you, that will be me.

Car looks classy , my quandary is classy vs shouty

Enjoy the car.

If you fancy a (relatively!) understated M4 CP coupe Stratstone Harrogate had a Mineral Grey one in their showroom when I was in a week or so back; DCT, Silverstone interior, from memory a decent spec and I'm sure they'd be keen to deal on that if it's still there.

As with Silverstone Blue I believe MG is now discontinued on the M4 but, like Terry's car, this one will presumably dodge the latest emission mods which reduce power slightly?

I was in Cooper York yesterday and they had a new, unregistered, Silverstone Blue M4 CP coupe on their forecourt. Chances are it won't have the exact spec you're after but if colour is important it might be worth either giving them a call direct or asking your local dealer to get in touch on your behalf?

Sorry to hear that. £4500 is quite incredible!

No chance you could look for one already built and cancel the order for a new one?

Does it have XPEL fitted, but no adaptive lights IIRC?

It used to be called Silverstone blue, I think perhaps when it was on the E92. But you're right, it is Silverstone II, but like Estoril blue II, most folk have now the last bit.

And it is regarded as a blue, as that's when the DVLA have it down as. I'd say it's a bluey silver more than a silvery blue though.

Indeed, the colour is just Blue on the log book for SSII. Strange one!

But it is silver with a hint of blue.

Yes back pain can be a problem with the M3/4 especially the CP with no option for lumber. I had to use a small cushion in mine else I could never get comfortable.

But once you get used the seats they are VERY supportive. Much more than M Sport seats.

Just looked on the configurator, have you seen the “Ultimate Package”!!

They should offer this on all models, a bit like Range Rovers Autobiography trim.
