435d xdrive on square setup 400m alloys

Hi I planned to get a cheap set of alloys for winter so I could get my factory fit alloys refurbed over the winter.

I was thinking M Star-Spoke 400 - 18'' 36117845880
Is it ok to get 4x 8JX18 ET:34 and put 225/40/18's on them? (I've had dunlop winter sport in the past)
Its a F33 435d xdrive
regards

OEM tire diameter is 26"...225/40/18 is 25.1" and it's smaller diameter and sidewall will cause speedo read to higher than actual, accrue more mileage than actual and further increase the unsightly x-drive wheel gap. if these shortcomings do not bother you post some pics after it's installed.

personally, i'd get 235/45/18 like this...

and this

or 225/45/18, which is OEM F3/4 front or square tire size

Hi thanks for replay

ideally I don't want any discrepancies on the speedo or odo,
so 225/45/18 or 235/45/18 will be fine for all four alloys?

As I'd like to be able to swap the fronts and backs periodically to even wear.
regards

225/45/18 is the standard OEM tire size BMW installes on 18x8 ET34 400M square setup.

as shown in the links in my previous post. 235/45/18(26.3") fits better on 18x8, provides 10mm more tread width, comfy ride, impact protection and reduces some of the unsightly x-drive wheel gap, without any problems.
